Booth: 17Crystalline Mirror Solutions (CMS) manufactures high-performance laser optics using a proprietary substrate-transfer crystalline coating technology. With this process, single-crystal semiconductor multilayers may be deposited on essentially arbitrary (including curved) surfaces, with substrate material options including, but not limited to, fused silica, ULE/zerodur, silicon, sapphire, silicon carbide, and diamond. High reflectivity multilayers fabricated with this technique exhibit a significant improvement in Brownian noise performance when compared with sputtered coatings, while simultaneously maintaining excellent optical properties, with ppm-levels of optical absorption possible in the near- and mid-infrared. These ultrastable coatings thus enable unprecedented advancements in the performance of high-sensitivity interferometers as well as cavity-stabilized laser systems.
